Polymet’s V-slitting capabilities produce contact tapes as low as 2:1 width-to-thickness ratio while eliminating the burr-up, burr-down condition that results from conventional slitting methods. After V-slitting, the material is form rolled to provide precise contact profile to optimize contact wear and form a close tolerance patterned backing to assure highest quality welds.
